Dog Day afternoon

My dog Kimba

Kimba was a black and white collie/whippet cross. He was a rescue dog and I had him from two years old up until he was thirteen.

My family had several dogs over the years but Kimba was my favourite. He was friendly with everyone except postmen! but his bark was much worse than his bite.

He was a healthy dog up until he was thirteen, when he began to slow down and eventually lost the use of his back legs. You could see he was in a lot of pain and I was heartbroken when the vet said there was nothing else she could do for Kimba. He passed on to the Rainbow Bridge three years ago and I miss him a lot.
